This document describes the application of the Agilent 6550 Quadrupole Time-of-Flight (Q-TOF) Mass Spectrometer for high sensitivity peptide analysis. The Agilent iFunnel technology combines highly efficient electrospray ion generation and focusing with a hexabore capillary sampling array and dual-stage ion funnel to increase ion sampling and transmission. This innovative design allows for a 10-fold increase in sensitivity for selected molecules compared to an earlier generation Q-TOF instrument without iFunnel technology.
