Agilent Technologies High-Throughput Lead Discovery with Agilent RapidFire/MS Systems: Analysis of Stearoyl-Coenzyme A Desaturase (SCD)

This document introduces the use of Agilent RapidFire/MS Systems for high-throughput screening. By detecting native analytes without the need for labeling, this technology overcomes the challenges of small substrates and difficult-to-detect modified products in traditional methods, thus converting low-throughput intractable assays into high-throughput assays similar to plate-based optical methods. Using stearoyl-coenzyme A desaturase (SCD) as an example, the power of Agilent RapidFire/MS Systems for screening intractable targets is demonstrated.
