SN54ABT540 is an octal buffer/driver with 3-state outputs. It features a state-of-the-art EPIC-ΙΙB BiCMOS design that significantly reduces power dissipation. The ESD protection exceeds 2000 V per MIL-STD-883 and 200 V using the machine model. It has latch-up performance that exceeds 500 mA per JEDEC standard JESD-17. The typical output ground bounce (VOLP) is less than 1 V at VCC = 5 V, TA = 25°C. The device has high-drive outputs (-32 mA IOH, 64 mA IOL) and various package options. It is ideal for driving bus lines or buffer memory address registers.
