This document describes the features and characteristics of SN65HVD230Q-Q1, SN65HVD231Q-Q1, and SN65HVD232Q-Q1, which are 3.3V CAN transceivers. They are qualified for automotive applications and support customer-specific configuration control. They provide ESD protection exceeding 2000V, operate with a 3.3V supply, offer a low-power replacement for the PCA82C250 footprint, and have bus/pin ESD protection exceeding 15kV. They also have controlled driver output transition times for improved signal quality, do not disturb the bus when unpowered, and are compatible with the ISO 11898 standard. Additionally, they feature low-current standby mode and sleep mode, are designed for signaling rates up to 1Mbps, have thermal shutdown protection, and employ an open-circuit fail-safe design.
