This document introduces the features of Easy Drive™ ADCs, which simplify the measurement of high impedance sensors. Delta-sigma ADCs are ideal for directly measuring many types of sensors, with high accuracy and high noise immunity. The LTC®2484 family of Delta-sigma converters solves the problem of input sampling currents overwhelming high source impedances or low-bandwidth, micropower signal conditioning circuits by balancing the input currents, thus simplifying or eliminating the need for signal conditioning circuits. The document provides an example of thermistor measurement.
