The 74LCX257 is a quad 2-input multiplexer with 5V tolerant inputs and outputs, and 3-STATE outputs. It allows selection of four bits of data from two sources using a Common Data Select input. The selected data is presented in true (non-inverted) form through four outputs. The outputs can be switched to a high impedance state by applying a logic HIGH on the common Output Enable (OE) input, enabling direct interface with bus-oriented systems. The 74LCX257 is fabricated using advanced CMOS technology to achieve high-speed operation while maintaining low power dissipation.
