This document introduces the serial-in / parallel-out driver series products from ROHM, which incorporates a built-in shift register and a latch circuit to control a maximum of 24 LEDs through a 4-line interface connected to a microcontroller. The products feature direct LED driving, maximum 24-bit parallel output, operation on low voltage, and cascade connection capability, making them suitable for AV equipment such as audio stereo sets, videos and TV sets, PCs, and control microcontroller mounted equipment.
