BU1574GUW is a ROHM AIE : Adaptive Image Enhancer image processing chip that supports QCIF to WVGA+ sized image data, ITU-R BT.656-4 or YCbCr data formats, three operating modes: Image Enhance, Through and Sleep, registers can be set up through the 2-wire serial interface (I2C), a PWM output for image adjustment LCD backlight control, built-in edge enhancement and gamma filters, applications for car cameras, car displays, car navigation systems, mobile phones and portable DVD etc.
