The AD5932 is a waveform generator from AD company. It supports frequency scanning and can generate analog or digital frequency stepped waveforms. The device uses embedded digital processing technology to achieve enhanced frequency control. Since the frequency is pre-programmed, continuous write cycles are eliminated, thereby freeing up valuable DSP/microcontroller resources. Waveforms start from a known phase and are incremented phase-continuously, which allows phase shifts to be easily determined. The AD5932 consumes only 6.7 mA of power and provides a convenient low-power solution for waveform generation. No external components are required, the output frequency can reach 25MHz, and it has burst and listen capability and a pre-programmed frequency profile.
