The MAX9516 is a video signal amplifier that operates at 1.8V from a single power supply. It is characterized by low power consumption and DirectDrive technology. It can drive a 2VP-P video signal into a 150Ω load and reduce power consumption when no load is present. The MAX9516 also has the ability to detect and report changes in the video load, helping to reduce overall system power consumption. It utilizes DirectDrive technology, which includes an integrated charge pump and internal linear regulator to create a clean negative power supply, allowing the amplifier to set the output video black level near ground. The MAX9516 also features an internal reconstruction filter that smooths the video signal and reduces spikes and steps from the video digital-to-analog converter.
