The ADM1191 is an integrated current sense amplifier that offers digital current and voltage monitoring via an on-chip 12-bit analog-to-digital converter (ADC), communicated through an I2C® interface. An internal reference voltage provides the reference voltage, eliminating the need for an external supply. An internal programmable voltage threshold setting allows the user to select the appropriate threshold. The internal current sense amplifier can measure currents from 5 mA to 1 A.
