The MAX9705 is a 3rd-generation ultra-low EMI mono Class D audio power amplifier that combines Class AB performance with Class D efficiency. It delivers 2.3W into a 4Ω load with efficiencies above 85%. The MAX9705 actively controls the output FET gate transitions to greatly reduce EMI. It also features zero dead time technology and a patented spread-spectrum modulation scheme to eliminate the need for output filtering. The MAX9705 offers fixed-frequency mode and spread-spectrum mode to further reduce EMI-radiated emissions. It can be synchronized to an external clock and supports cascading multiple MAX9705s.
