This document describes the features and characteristics of the PROFET BTS 432 F2 smart highside power switch produced by Infineon Technologies AG, including load dump and reverse battery protection, negative voltage clamp at the output, short-circuit protection, current limitation, thermal shutdown, diagnostic feedback, open load detection in ON-state, CMOS compatible input, electrostatic discharge (ESD) protection, loss of ground and loss of Vbb protection, overvoltage protection, and undervoltage and overvoltage shutdown with auto-restart and hysteresis. The product is a microcontroller compatible power switch with diagnostic feedback for 12V and 24V DC grounded loads, most suitable for inductive loads, and can replace electromechanical relays and discrete circuits.
