The AD9858 is a direct digital synthesizer (DDS) that generates frequencies up to 1GSPS. It integrates a 10-bit DAC, a 32-bit programmable frequency register, a simplified 8-bit parallel and SPI® serial control interface. The AD9858 also features automatic frequency sweeping capability, making it suitable for frequency synthesis applications such as VHF/UHF LO synthesis, tuners, instrumentation, agile clock synthesis, cellular base station hopping synthesizers, radar, and Sonet/SDH clock synthesis.
