ANALOG DEVICES ADE7760 handbook
Update: 29 September, 2023
This document introduces the ADE7760 energy metering IC with on-chip fault detection. It supports IEC 687/61036 standards and features high accuracy active energy measurement with less than 0.1% error over a dynamic range of 500 to 1. The IC provides active power on the frequency outputs F1 and F2, and the high frequency output CF is used for calibration and supplies instantaneous active power. It continuously monitors the phase and neutral current for fault detection in 2-wire distribution systems. The current channels are designed for current transformer sensors, and the larger of the two currents (phase or neutral) is used for billing, even during a fault condition. It also has two logic outputs (FAULT and REVP) that can indicate potential miswiring or fault conditions. The IC supports direct drive for electromechanical counters and 2-phase stepper motors.
