SigmaDSP 28-/56-Bit Audio Processor with Two ADCs and Four DACs ADAU1401 Rev. A is a digital audio processor with 28-/56-bit, 50 MIPS processing power. It features 2 ADCs with a signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) of 100 dB and total harmonic distortion plus noise (THD + N) of -83 dB, as well as 4 DACs with an SNR of 104 dB and THD + N of -90 dB. The processor can operate independently and self-boot from a serial EEPROM. It also includes an auxiliary ADC with a 4-input multiplexer for analog control, GPIOs for digital controls and outputs, and is fully programmable using the SigmaStudio graphical tool. The processor has a 28-bit × 28-bit multiplier with a 56-bit accumulator for full double-precision processing. It has clock oscillators for generating the master clock from a crystal, and a PLL for generating the master clock from various clock rates. The processor supports flexible serial data input/output ports with I2S-compatible, left-justified, right-justified, and TDM modes, and sampling rates of up to 192 kHz. It also includes an on-chip voltage regulator for compatibility with 3V and 5V interfaces.
