The 3041 series of surface mount accelerometers are solid-state structures with ceramic sealed housings that are widely used in applications where small size, sealed, light weight and low cost are required. This accelerometer consists of a tiny silicon chip suspended on a silicon frame composite beam. The silicon chip changes its resistance value as the bracket deforms. The silicon caps on the top and bottom provide over-range protection. This structure makes the accelerometer have the characteristics of small size, shock resistance, durability, built-in damping and wide bandwidth.
