This document describes the use of short, small-particle columns for fast and efficient separations of herbicide mixtures. By using a 3.5µm particle column, similar efficiency can be achieved in a shorter time compared to columns with 5µm particles and twice the length. Additionally, increasing the flow rate on the 3.5µm, 75 mm column further reduces the run-time, with efficiencies nearly equivalent to those of the 5µm 150 mm column run at a slower flow rate.
This document discusses the effect of organic modifier and pH on the selectivity of Zorbax SB-CN column. pH control is crucial for providing separation stability for polar organic compounds that are basic or acidic. The short-chain SB-CN column is highly stable under low pH conditions (e.g. pH 2.5).
This document introduces Agilent's ZORBAX Eclipse XDB HPLC columns, which show excellent peak shape for basic compounds in the pH range of 6-9 and also perform outstandingly at low pH.
