This document describes a low-cost, pocket-sized current loop checker. It simulates output ranges of 4mA, 12mA, and 20mA from a transmitter and is ideal for checking calibration and serving as a current source for setting up engineering units on a process indicator or controller. The checker is accurate to 0.1mA and provides overload indication when the load exceeds 240Ω. It features a compact case with a push button output selector switch.
