The P403 is a high-performance microstepping driver suitable for 2-phase and 4-phase hybrid steppers. It features an advanced bipolar constant-current chopper circuit with current control technology, making it ideal for motion control applications requiring low noise, low vibration, high speed, and high precision. The driver has a supply voltage of up to +40Vdc and a current rating of up to 3.5A. It operates at an inaudible 20kHz chopping frequency and accepts TTL compatible and optically isolated input signals. Other features include automatic idle current reduction, mixed-decay current control for reduced motor heating, 14 selectable step resolutions, microstepping up to 51,200 steps/revolution, compatibility with 4, 6, or 8 lead wire motors, and protection against overcurrent, overvoltage, and short circuits. The P403 is compact in size and made of black coated aluminium with an integral heatsink.

The P403 is a high performance microstepping driver based on the most advanced technology in the world today. It is suitable for driving any 2-phase and 4-phase hybrid step motors (current 3.5A). By using advanced bipolar constant-current chopping techniques, it can output more speed and power from the same motor, compared with traditional technologies such as L/R drivers. It has patented current control technology, which allows coil currents to be accurately controlled, generating much less current ripple and motor heating than other drivers on the market.
