RS232 is a standard for conveying data over a simple unterminated, multiconductor cable at rates up to 20kB. It specifies the electrical characteristics and connector for an all encompassing point-to-point modem interface. The standard has been expanded for use as a general purpose serial interface at data rates up to 1MB.

The counters use continuous-time analog integrators, resulting in minimal offset and gain errors, and better overall charge accuracy. The bidirectional analog integrator accommodates both battery charge and discharge, and a programmable prescaler allows for a wide range of battery capacities. The LTC2942 also incorporates a 14-bit ∆∑ ADC to measure battery voltage and die temperature. The LTC2941-1 and LTC2942-1 also integrate a 50mΩ sense resistor to provide up to ±1A measurement range. The LT3748 is a high input voltage isolated flyback DC/DC controller that does not require an opto-isolator, third winding or signal transformer for feedback. The output voltage is sensed from the primary-side flyback signal, and is set with two external resistors and the transformer turns ratio. The LT3748 operates over a 5V to 100V input voltage range, drives an external N-channel power MOSFET and maintains better than ±5% overall regulation.

The LTC2379-18 is a 18-bit 1.6Msps SAR ADC with 101dB SNR and ±VREF full differential input range. It features a digital gain compression feature that eliminates the need for a negative ADC driver supply while preserving the ADC's full resolution, dramatically lowering the total power consumption of the signal chain.
