The main difference between the AD9887 and AD9887A is that the AD9887A adds HDCP-related features, such as HDCP key detection, HDCP address, HDCP slave port address, MDA/MCL three-state control, etc. In addition, the AD9887A has two additional control pins, which are used to control Pin 49 function (CTL3 or MCL) and MDA/MCL three-state control.
