Agilent Technologies Ergosterol Application Note

This document describes the analysis method for ergosterol, a pro-vitamin of Vitamin D2, in soil extracts. Ergocalciferol (Vitamin D2) is produced by the ultraviolet irradiation of ergosterol in plants, fungi, and yeasts. The use of Agilent ZORBAX Rapid-Resolution Rx-C18 columns enables fast analysis of soil extracts with good peak shape and retention.
