Agilent Technologies Increased Identification of Impurities in Octyl Dimethyl p-Aminobenzoic Acid Using the Agilent 6140 High Throughput LC/MS Application Note

This article introduces the application of the Agilent Technologies 6140 Single Quadrupole LC/MS High Throughput Mass Spectrometer. The Agilent 1200 Series Rapid Resolution Liquid Chromatography (RRLC) system is used to analyze the impurities of octyl dimethyl para-aminobenzoic acid (OD-PABA). The instrument has a high scan speed capability, which allows clear detection of the degradation product p-dimethylbenzoic acid. The background and usage of OD-PABA are also discussed in this article.
