Allegro 3280 3281 AND 3283 Guide(1)
The A3280--, A3281--, and A3283-- Hall-effect latches are ex- tremely temperature-stable and stress-resistant sensors especially suited for operation over extended temperature ranges to +150°C. Superior high-temperature performance is made possible through dynamic offset cancellation, which reduces the residual offset voltage normally caused by device overmolding, temperature dependencies, and thermal stress. The three devices are identical except for magnetic switch points. Each device includes on a single silicon chip a voltage regulator, Hall-voltage generator, small-signal amplifier, chopper stabilization, Schmitt trigger, and a short-circuit protected open-collector output to sink up to 25 mA. A south pole of sufficient strength will turn the output on. A north pole is necessary to turn the output off. An on-board regulator permits operation with supply voltages of 4.2 to 24 volts. The first character of the part number suffix determines the device operating temperature range; suffix ‘E–’ is for -40°C to +85°C and ‘L–’ is -40°C to +150°C. Three package styles provide a magnetically optimized package for most applications. Suffix ‘–LH’ is a miniature SOT23W low-profile surface-mount package, ‘–LT’ is a miniature SOT89/TO-243AA transistor package for surface-mount applications; while suffix ‘–UA’ is a three-lead ultra-mini-SIP for through-hole mounting. Allegro 3260 Manual(1)
The A3260 is a Hall-effect bipolar switch that is extremely temperature stable and stress resistant. It is particularly suitable for operation in extended temperature ranges up to +150 °C. Superior high-temperature performance is made possible through dynamic offset cancellation, which reduces the residual offset voltage normally caused by device overmolding, temperature dependencies, and thermal stress. The device includes on a single silicon chip a voltage regulator, Hall-voltage generator, small-signal amplifier, chopper stabilization, Schmitt trigger, and a constant-current open-collector output. A south pole of sufficient strength will turn the output OFF. An on-board regulator permits operation with supply voltages of 3.5 to 24 volts. Noise radiation is limited by control of the output current slew rate. The first character of the part number suffix determines the device operating temperature range; suffix ‘E–’ is -40 °C to +85 °C and ‘L–’ is -40 °C to +150 °C. Allegro 3213 AND 3214 Manual
The A3213xx and A3214xx integrated circuits are ultra-sensitive, polarity independent Hall-effect switches with a latched digital output. They are especially suited for operation in battery-operated, hand-held equipment such as cellular and cordless telephones, pagers, and palmtop computers. A 2.4 volt to 5.5 volt operation and a unique clocking scheme reduce the average operating power requirements - the A3213xx to 825 microwatts, the A3214xx to 14 microwatts (typical at 2.75 V)! Except for operating duty cycle and average operating current, the A3213xx and A3214xx are identical. Unlike other Hall-effect switches, either a north or south pole of sufficient strength will turn the output on; in the absence of a magnetic field, the output is off. The polarity independence and minimal power requirement allows these devices to easily replace reed switches for superior reliability and ease of manufacturing, while eliminating the requirement for signal conditioning. Improved stability is made possible through chopper stabilization (dynamic offset cancellation), which reduces the residual offset voltage normally caused by device overmolding, temperature dependencies, and thermal stress. These devices include on a single silicon chip a Hall-voltage generator, small-signal amplifier, chopper stabilization, a latch, and a MOSFET output. Advanced BiCMOS processing is used to take advantage of low-voltage and low-power requirements, component matching, very low input-offset errors.

The A3212 is a Schottky barrier Hall-effect switch consisting of a Schottky barrier, a drive amplifier, a decoder, an oscillator, a latch, and is used to measure the strength of the magnetic field.

Allegro A3211 A3212 Manual(1)
The A3211 and A3212 integrated circuits are ultra-sensitive, pole indepen- dent Hall-effect switches with latched digital output. These sensors are es- pecially suited for operation in battery-operated, hand-held equipment such as cellular and cordless tele- phones, pagers, and palmtop comput- ers. A 2.5 volt to 3.5 volt operation and a unique clocking scheme reduce the average op- erating power requirements to less than 15 μW with a 2.75 volt supply. Unlike other Hall-effect switches, either a north or south pole of suf- ficient strength will turn the output on in the A3212, and in the absence of a magnetic field, the output is off. The A3211 provides an inverted output. The po- larity inde- pendence and minimal power requirements allow these devices to easily replace reed switches for superior reliability and ease of manufacturing, while eliminat- ing the requirement for signal conditioning. Improved stability is made possible through chopper stabilization (dynamic offset cancellation), which reduces the residual offset voltage normally caused by device overmolding, temperature depen- dencies, and thermal stress. This device includes on a single silicon chip a Hall-voltage generator, small-sig- nal amplifier, chopper sta- bilization, a latch, and a MOSFET output. Ad vanced BiCMOS processing is used to take advantage of low-voltage and low-power requirements, component matching, very low input-offset errors, and small com- ponent geometries. Four package styles provid- ed offer different sizes and cost.
Allegro A3211 A3212 Guide(1)
The A3211 and A3212 integrated circuits are ultra-sensitive, pole independent Hall-effect switches with latched digital output. These sensors are especially suited for operation in battery-operated, hand-held equipment such as cellular and cordless telephones, pagers, and palmtop computers. They operate at a voltage range of 2.5V to 3.5V, and a unique clocking scheme reduces the average operating power requirement to less than 15μW with a 2.75V supply. The A3212 can be turned on by either a north or south pole of sufficient strength, while the output is off in the absence of a magnetic field. The A3211 provides an inverted output. These devices can easily replace reed switches for superior reliability and ease of manufacturing, eliminating the need for signal conditioning. Improved stability is achieved through chopper stabilization, reducing residual offset voltage caused by overmolding, temperature dependencies, and thermal stress. The devices integrate a Hall-voltage generator, small-signal amplifier, chopper stabilization, a latch, and a MOSFET output on a single silicon chip using advanced BiCMOS processing, providing low-voltage and low-power operation, component matching, very low input-offset errors, and small component geometries.
