MICREL MIC4576 handbook

MIC4576 is a simple 3A buck regulator from Micrel, Inc. It is easy to use and provides fixed and adjustable output. Fixed output versions are available in 3.3V and 5V, while the adjustable output version can output in the range of 1.23V to 33V. Both versions can drive a 3A load with excellent line and load regulation. The feedback voltage is guaranteed to be within ±2% for adjustable versions and ±3% for fixed versions. In shutdown mode, the regulator draws less than 200µA standby current. The regulator also has current limiting and thermal shutdown features for protection under fault conditions. This series of simple switch-mode regulators requires a minimum number of external components and can operate using a standard series of inductors. It is available in TO-220 (T) and TO-263 (U) packages for the industrial temperature range.
