nRF905 Wireless module user manual
Update: 30 September, 2023
nRF905 is a single-chip RF transmitter chip launched by Nordic Company, using 32-pin 5mm×5mm QFN packaging, working in 433, 868, and 915MHz 3 ISM (industrial, scientific, and medical) frequencies, among which the domestic 433 frequency band can be used for free. nRF905 is composed of frequency synthesizer, receiver demodulator, power amplifier, crystal oscillator, and modulator. It does not need an external crystal filter to have good communication effects. nRF905 uses SPI interface to communicate with any MCU, and the address, output power, and communication channel can be configured by the program. Therefore, it can be used for multiple communication. nRF905 integrates ShockBurstTM technology, which can automatically process the data packet header and has built-in CRC check function to ensure reliable data transmission. nRF905 has low power consumption. When transmitting at -10dBm, the working current is only 11mA, and the working current of the corresponding receiver is only 12.5mA. The chip can be set to idle mode and shutdown mode by software, which is easy to design for energy saving. It is suitable for industrial data acquisition, wireless alarms, and security systems, etc.
