The Ultrastar™ SSD400S series is the latest generation of enterprise-class solid-state drives from Hitachi Global Storage Technologies, based on SAS and Fibre Channel interfaces, using enterprise-class SLC NAND flash and advanced durability management firmware, providing up to 535MB/s of continuous read speed and 500MB/s of continuous write speed, and up to 46K (read)/13K (write) random IOPS. The product line has an ultra-low annual failure rate (AFR), which can withstand up to 35PB of random writes, which is equivalent to writing 19.2TB of data every day for five years!
