This manual introduces the ECLIPSE GX1300 25 watt VHF/FM class D digital selective calling (DSC) marine transceiver. The product is a compact, fixed-mount, affordable VHF radio. The product has an IPX8 water-resistant rating (4.92 feet immersion for 30 minutes) and meets the ITU-R M493-13 class D DSC standard. The product also includes a built-in separate receiver for receiving CH70 DSC calls. Additionally, there are programmable soft keys, an easy-to-operate icon/menu system, an oversized full dot matrix display (31 mm x 55 mm), GPS position and time display (when connected to a GPS), DSC distress calls, individual calls, group calls, all ships calls, position requests, position reports and DSC test calls, programmable scanning, priority scanning and multi-watching (dual watching or triple watching), NMEA input and output connections to a compatible GPS chart plotter, all US/international and Canadian marine channels, a preset key for recalling up to 10 favorite channels, and automatic polling of up to 6 ships' GPS locations using DSC.
