The µPC29M33A, µPC29M05A are low dropout voltage three terminal positive regulators, capable of sourcing 0.5A of output current with a low dropout voltage of typically 0.5V. They are constructed with a PNP output transistor, resulting in significantly reduced power dissipation compared to conventional three terminal positive voltage regulators with NPN output transistors. This series also features low voltage outputs (3V, 3.3V) that are not found in conventional low dropout regulators (µPC24M00A series).
