The NCP1200 is a PWM current-mode controller for low-power universal off-line supplies from Semiconductor Components Industries, LLC. It is housed in SOIC-8 or PDIP-8 packages, and features a small size, low power consumption, and low noise.

NCP1200A is a PWM current-mode controller that can achieve low standby power for universal offline power supplies. It is housed in SOIC-8 or PDIP-8 package, and can reduce optocoupler current while increasing drive capability. Due to its novel concept, the circuit can implement complete offline AC-DC adapters, battery charger or a SMPS where standby power is a key parameter. The controller operates at a fixed 40 kHz, 60 kHz or 100 kHz, and supplies itself from the high-voltage rail, avoiding the need for an auxiliary winding. This feature naturally eases the designer's task in battery charger applications. Finally, current-mode control provides an excellent audio-susceptibility and inherent pulse-by-pulse control. When the current setpoint falls below a given value, e.g. the output power demand diminishes, the IC automatically enters the so-called skip cycle mode and provides excellent efficiency at light loads. Because this occurs at a user adjustable low peak current, no acoustic noise takes place. The NCP1200A features an efficient protective circuitry which, in presence of an overcurrent condition, disables the output pulses while the device enters a safe burst mode, trying to restart. Once the default has gone, the device auto-recovers.

The NCP1050-NCP1055 are high voltage switching regulator series with startup circuit, which eliminates the need for transformer auxiliary bias winding, and has overcurrent protection. It can be used in 8-pin dual-in-line and 4-pin SOT-223 packages.

The NCP1050 through NCP1055 are monolithic high voltage regulators that enable end product equipment to be compliant with low standby power requirements. This device series combines the required converter functions allowing a simple and economical power system solution for office automation, consumer, and industrial products. These devices are designed to operate directly from a rectified AC line source. In flyback converter applications they are capable of providing an output power that ranges from 6.0 W to 40 W with a fixed AC input of 100 V, 115 V, or 230 V, and 3.0 W to 20 W with a variable AC input that ranges from 85 V to 265 V. MC100LVE210 is a low voltage, low skew dual differential ECL fanout buffer designed with clock distribution in mind. The device features two fanout buffers, a 1:4 and a 1:5 buffer, on a single chip. The device features fully differential clock paths to minimize both device and system skew. The dual buffer allows for the fanout of two signals through a single chip, thus reducing the skew between the two fundamental signals from a part–to–part skew down to an output–to–output skew. This capability reduces the skew by a factor of 4 as compared to using two LVE111’s to accomplish the same task. The MC100LVE210 works from a –3.3V supply while the MC100E210 provides identical function and performance from a standard –4.5V 100E voltage supply. For applications which require a single–ended input, the VBB reference voltage is supplied. For single–ended input applications the VBB reference should be connected to the unused CLK input of a differential pair and bypassed to ground via a 0.01µf capacitor. The input signal is then driven into the selected CLK input. To ensure that the tight skew specification is met it is necessary that both sides of the differential output are identically terminated, even if only one side is being used. In most applications all nine differential outputs are connected to 50Ω resistors to provide electrical termination.
