This document describes the features and characteristics of the MCP4011/2/3/4 series digital potentiometers produced by Microchip Technology Inc. These digital potentiometers are available in various package forms, including SOT-23, SOIC, MSOP, and DFN. They have 64 taps and can be controlled using a simple increment/decrement protocol. The default tap settings can be customized during power-on reset. The available resistance values are 2.1 kΩ, 5 kΩ, 10 kΩ, and 50 kΩ, with low temperature coefficient and low slide resistance. They are suitable for power adjustment and calibration, replacing mechanical potentiometers, and offset and gain adjustments in instrumentation.
