This document describes the Operational Qualification/Performance Verification (OQ/PV) procedures of Agilent Technologies for the 6890 series gas chromatograph (GC) with headspace sampler. It explains how to document the correct functioning of the entire system according to established specifications. The OQ/PV procedures use internal tests and analytical methods with certified samples. Typically, the entire OQ/PV procedure can be completed in one day, minimizing downtime and maintaining high productivity. However, the limits described in the document and the online Help system of ChemStation apply to new or repaired instruments according to Agilent specifications. Instruments that have been in daily use for a long time may not comply with Agilent specifications. Acceptance criteria may vary depending on analytical requirements and should be agreed upon with Agilent support services.
