MAXIM INTEGRATED PRODUCTS DS2784 Manual

DS2784 is a lithium-ion battery management chip that operates from 2.5V to 4.6V. It supports a single lithium-ion cell or lithium-ion polymer cell. The chip can provide accurate output voltage, temperature and current measurements, and use SHA-1 algorithm and challenge-response authentication mechanism to ensure battery safety. At the same time, the chip also provides 16 bytes of EEPROM storage space for storing battery compensation data and application parameters, which can be used for battery batch and date tracking, or storing system or battery usage statistics. The chip also supports 1-Wire interface, providing 16kbps or 143kbps serial communication to access data registers, control registers and user memory. 1-Wire communication also supports challenge-response battery authentication, using SHA-1 as the hash algorithm, to implement a hash-based message authentication code (HMAC) authentication protocol.
