MICROCHIP MCP3550/1/3 Manual
Update: 30 September, 2023
The MCP3550/1/3 are 22-bit ADC chips from Microchip Technology Inc. The chip has automatic internal offset and gain calibration function, the output noise is as low as 2.5 µVRMS, the effective resolution is 21.9 bits, the typical offset error is 3 µV, the typical full-scale error is 2 ppm, the maximum INL error is 6 ppm, the total unadjusted error is less than 10 ppm, and it supports no digital filter settling time and single-command conversion through 3-wire SPI interface. In addition, the chip also has ultra-low conversion current (MCP3550/1): the typical value is 100 µA under 2.7V power supply voltage and the typical value is 120 µA under 5.0V power supply voltage. The chip supports VSS to VDD common voltage range differential input, supports 2.7V to 5.5V single-supply operation, and the working temperature range is -40°C to +125°C. MCP3550/1/3 chips are suitable for applications such as weighing scales, direct temperature measurement, 6-digit DVMs, instrumentation, data acquisition and strain gauge measurement.
