This document introduces the CXD4016R, a digital signal processing IC for infrared digital audio transmission (compliant with IEC61603-8-1) in consumer devices. The CXD4016R features an integrated RF D/A converter and PLL, enabling stable operation and uncomplicated adjustment. It supports multiple audio sampling frequencies (32kHz, 44.1kHz, and 48kHz) and can directly output RF signals. It does not require external RAM or PLL. Additionally, it provides interfaces for various audio A/D converters and automatically generates Reed-Solomon parity for infrared digital audio transmission formats. The CXD4016R simplifies external analog circuits through its built-in digital filter and RF D/A converter.
