This document is the datasheet of Bookham BPC30C-9xx-01 MaxiChip laser diode on passive cooler. This product is designed for direct coupling into a 800µm diameter fiber, providing the high brightness required for collimated solid-state laser pumping and direct applications. It features a highly reliable single quantum well MBE structure, telecom grade AuSn mounting technology, and is RoHS compliant. It has a CW output power of 30W and a small aperture (800µm emission area).
The device is a 10Gb/s DWDM EA modulator and DFB laser with GPO RF connector, suitable for STM-64/OC-192 DWDM 100GHz applications, with low dispersion penalty over 40km. It features high output power, low modulation voltage, long haul performance, and no wavelength locker required.
