The HCS08 microcontroller is a 8-bit microcontroller produced by Freescale Corporation. It operates at 40 MHz and has 60K of Flash memory and 4K of RAM. It features two ultra-low power stop modes, a reduced power wait mode, an ultra-low power real-time clock interrupt, and supports 31.25 kHz to 38.4 kHz or 1 MHz to 16MHz crystal or ceramic resonators, as well as an internal reference clock source with fine tuning and an external reference clock source with selectable crystal oscillator or ceramic resonator.
