BrightKing BK30 SERIES PTC Device Data Sheet
The BK30 SERIES data sheet describes a family of radial leaded Positive Temperature Coefficient (PTC) devices with features such as flame‑retardant epoxy polymer (UL94 V‑0), lead‑free versions, and MSL level 1 compliance. Dimensions for each part number are listed along with mechanical characteristics and packaging details.
Electrical characteristics include hold current (IH), trip current (IT), maximum voltage (VMAX), and typical power dissipation for each device. The document also provides thermal derating charts, test procedures, storage recommendations (‑10 °C to +40 °C), and detailed soldering guidelines for both wave and manual processes, as well as reliability test criteria.
Covers: Features · Dimensions · Electrical Characteristics · Thermal Derating · Test Procedures · Storage Recommendations

BrightKing MOV Selection Guide
The document introduces Metal Oxide Varistors (MOV) and explains how they protect circuits from surge voltages. It describes the working principle, key characteristics, typical application circuits and the importance of proper selection.
It also provides detailed parameter tables for specific part numbers, naming conventions, and the full BrightKing MOV product line, including special TMOV devices with built‑in temperature fuses. This manual is written in Chinese.

Questions answered in BrightKing manuals
Can the BK30 devices be used for reflow soldering?
No, the devices cannot be used for reflow soldering.
What are the recommended storage temperature limits?
Store the devices between –10 °C and +40 °C.
What formula is used to select the V1mA rating for an MOV?
V1mA should be greater than or equal to (1 + a) × (1 – b) × (1 – c) × VPa, where a is the power‑line fluctuation factor, b the voltage tolerance and c the aging coefficient.
What is a TMOV and why is it used?
TMOV is a MOV with an integrated temperature fuse; the fuse opens before the MOV can short‑circuit and burn, providing an open‑circuit failure mode.
