The IBM Power System S822 is a dual-socket 2U system that can be ordered with one or two pre-installed processor sockets, giving customers the ability to grow as needed. It features the POWER8 processor, which delivers higher per-core and per-socket performance, new I/O capabilities, increased internal storage and PCIe capacity and performance, the ability to support CAPI accelerator devices, and enhanced RAS, including hot-pluggable PCIe capability.
