LINEAR TECHNOLOGY LT3491 White LED Driver with Integrated Schottky in SC70 2mm × 2mm DFN handbook

The LT3491 is an efficient Li-Ion driver that provides up to 600mA of drive current for four white LEDs. The driver features a unique high side LED current sense that enables the LED string to be connected with one side to ground, which simplifies LED connection. The driver uses a fixed frequency step-up DC/DC converter that is specifically designed to drive up to six white LEDs in series from a Li-Ion cell. Series connection of the LEDs provides identical LED currents resulting in uniform brightness and eliminating the need for ballast resistors.

LINEAR TECHNOLOGY LT1073 Manual

The LT1073 is a versatile micropower DC/DC converter that only requires three external components to deliver a fixed output of 5V or 12V. With a minimum supply voltage of 1V, it can be used in applications where the primary power source is a single cell. An on-chip auxiliary gain block can function as a low-battery detector or linear post-regulator. The average current drain of the LT1073-5 used in the typical application circuit is just 135µA unloaded, making it ideal for applications where long battery life is important. The circuit shown can deliver 5V at 40mA from an input as low as 1.25V and 5V at 10mA from a 1V input. The device can easily be configured as a step-up or step-down converter, although for most step-down applications or input sources greater than 3V, the LT1173 is recommended. Switch current limiting is user-adjustable by adding a single external resistor. Unique reverse-battery protection circuitry limits reverse current to safe, nondestructive levels at reverse supply voltages up to 1.6V.

LINEAR TECHNOLOGY LT3685 Manual

The LT3685 is an adjustable frequency (200kHz to 2.4MHz) monolithic step-down switching regulator that accepts input voltages up to 38V operating and 60V maximum. It features an internal overvoltage protection circuit that turns off the power switch when VIN is above 38V typical (36V minimum) which then allows the part to safely withstand 60V transients. Current mode topology is used for fast transient response and good loop stability. The high operating frequency of the LT3685 allows the use of small, low cost inductors and ceramic capacitors resulting in low output ripple while keeping total solution size to a minimum. The low current shutdown mode reduces input supply current to less than 1μA while a resistor and capacitor on the RUN/SS pin provide a controlled output voltage ramp (soft-start). A power good flag signals when VOUT reaches 86% of the programmed output voltage. The LT3685 is available in 10-Pin MSOP and 3mm × 3mm DFN packages with exposed pads for low thermal resistance.

LINEAR TECHNOLOGY LT1534/LT1534-1 Ultralow Noise 2A Switching Regulators handbook

The LT1534/LT1534-1 are a new class of switching regulators designed to reduce conducted and radiated electromagnetic interference (EMI). Ultralow noise and EMI are achieved by providing user control of the output switch slew rates. Voltage and current slew rates can be independently programmed to optimize switcher harmonic content versus efficiency. The LT1534/LT1534-1 can reduce high frequency harmonic power by as much as 40dB with only minor losses in efficiency. The LT1534/LT1534-1 utilize a current mode architecture optimized for low noise boost topologies. The ICs include a 2A power switch along with all necessary oscillator, control and protection circuitry. Unique error amp circuitry can regulate both positive and negative voltages. The internal oscillator may be synchronized to an external clock for more accurate placement of switching harmonics. Protection features include cycle-by-cycle current limit protection, undervoltage lockout and thermal shutdown. Low minimum supply voltage and low supply current during shutdown make the LT1534/LT1534-1 well suited for portable applications. The LT1534/LT1534-1 are available in the 16-pin narrow SO package.

LINEAR TECHNOLOGY LT1316 Micropower DC/DC Converter with Programmable Peak Current Limit handbook

The LT1316 is a micropower step-up DC/DC converter that operates from an input voltage as low as 1.5V. It features a programmable input current limiting function that allows precise control of peak switch current. The peak switch current can be set to any value between 30mA and 500mA by adjusting one resistor. This is particularly useful for converters operating from high source impedance inputs. The converter utilizes a fixed off-time, variable on-time regulation scheme, resulting in a quiescent current of only 33µA in active mode. Quiescent current decreases to 3µA in shutdown mode with the low-battery detector still active. The LT1316 is suitable for applications such as battery backup, LCD bias, and low-power -48V to 5V/3.3V converters.
