LINEAR TECHNOLOGY LT1123 Manual

The LT1123 is a 3-pin bipolar device designed to be used in conjunction with a discrete PNP power transistor to form an inexpensive low dropout regulator. The LT1123 consists of a trimmed bandgap reference, error amplifier, and a driver circuit capable of sinking up to 125mA from the base of the external PNP pass transistor. The LT1123 is designed to provide a fixed output voltage of 5V. The drive pin of the device can pull down to 2V at 125mA (1.4V at 10mA). This allows a resistor to be used to reduce the base drive available to the PNP and minimize the power dissipation in the LT1123. The drive current of the LT1123 is folded back as the feedback pin approaches ground to further limit the available drive current under short-circuit conditions. Total quiescent current for the LT1123 is only 700µA. The device is available in a low cost TO-92 package.

LINEAR TECHNOLOGY LT1121/LT1121-3.3/LT1121-5 Manual

The LT1121/LT1121-3.3/LT1121-5 are micropower low dropout regulators with shutdown. These devices are capable of supplying 150mA of output current with a dropout voltage of 0.4V. Designed for use in battery-powered systems, the low quiescent current, 30µA operating and 16µA in shutdown, makes them an ideal choice. The quiescent current is well-controlled; it does not rise in dropout as it does with many other low dropout PNP regulators. Other features of the LT1121/LT1121-3.3/LT1121-5 include the ability to operate with very small output capacitors. They are stable with only 0.33µF on the output while most older devices require between 1µF and 100µF for stability. Small ceramic capacitors can be used, enhancing manufacturability. Also the input may be connected to ground or a reverse voltage without reverse current flow from output to input. This makes the LT1121 series ideal for backup power situations where the output is h

LINEAR TECHNOLOGY LT1366/LT1367 LT1368/LT1369 Guide

The LT1366/LT1367/LT1368/LT1369 are dual and quad bipolar op amps which combine rail-to-rail input and output operation with precision specifications. These op amps maintain their characteristics over a supply range of 1.8V to 36V. Input offset voltage is typically 150µV, with an open-loop gain AVOL of 1 million while driving a 10k load. Common mode rejection is typically 90dB over the full rail-to-rail input range, and supply rejection is 110dB. The LT1366/LT1367 have conventional compensation which assures stability for capacitive loads of 1000pF or less. The LT1368/LT1369 have compensation that requires a 0.1µF output capacitor, which improves the amplifier’s supply rejection and reduces output impedance at high frequencies. The output capacitor’s filtering action reduces high frequency noise, which is beneficial when driving A/D converters.

LINEAR TECHNOLOGY LT1619 PWM Controller Manual

The LT1619 is a low voltage current mode PWM controller designed for implementing current mode DC/DC converters with minimum external parts. It operates with input voltages ranging from 1.9V to 18V and is suitable for a variety of battery-powered and distributed DC/DC converters. The controller features an internal rail-to-rail N-channel MOSFET driver that can operate either from the input in the nonbootstrapped mode or from the output in bootstrapped operation. It is designed to drive a low side power transistor in boost, SEPIC, flyback, and other topologies. The converter efficiency is improved at heavy loads with a 53mV current sense voltage and at light load with Burst Mode operation. The operating frequency is internally set at 300kHz and can be externally synchronized up to 500kHz. The LT1619 is available in 8-lead MSOP and SO packages with a no load quiescent current of 140µA and a shutdown current of 15µA.

LINEAR TECHNOLOGY LTC1293/LTC1294/LTC1296 /LTC1294/LTC1296 129346fs Single Chip 12-Bit Data Acquisition System

The LTC1293/4/6 is a family of data acquisition systems which contain a serial I/O successive approximation A/D converter. It uses LTCMOS switched capacitor technology to perform either 12-bit unipolar, or 11-bit plus sign bipolar A/D conversions. The input multiplexer can be configured for either single ended or differential inputs (or combinations thereof). An on-chip sample and hold is included for all single ended input channels. When the LTC1293/4/6 is idle it can be powered down in applications where low power consumption is desired. The LTC1296 includes a System Shutdown Output pin which can be used to power down external circuitry, such as signal conditioning circuitry prior to the input mux. The serial I/O is designed to communicate without external hardware to most MPU serial ports and all MPU parallel I/O ports allowing up to eight channels of data to be transmitted over as few as three wires.

LINEAR TECHNOLOGY LTC1282 Manual

The LTC1282 is a 12-bit A/D converter with a sampling rate of 140ksps and is powered by a single supply with a power consumption of 12mW. It has a built-in 1.14µs sample and hold, a high-precision reference voltage and an internal calibrated clock. It supports single-ended and bipolar conversion modes. The device is built with LTBiCMOS TM switched capacitor technology. It has a 25ppm/°C (max) internal reference voltage, which converts 0V to 2.5V single-ended inputs from a single 3V supply. With ±3V supplies, the input range is ±1.25V with two's complement output format. The maximum DC specifications include ±0.5LSB INL, ±0.75LSB DNL, and 25ppm/°C full-scale drift over temperature. Outstanding AC performance includes 69dB S/(N + D) and 77dB THD at the Nyquist input frequency of 70kHz. The internal clock is trimmed for a maximum conversion time of 6µs. The clock automatically synchronizes to each sample command, eliminating problems with asynchronous clock noise found in competitive devices. A high-speed parallel interface simplifies connections to FIFOs, DSPs, and microprocessors.
