LINEAR TECHNOLOGY LT1777 handbook

The LT®1777 is a Buck (step-down) regulator designed for noise sensitive applications. It contains a dI/dt limiting circuit programmed via a small external inductor in the switching path. Internal circuitry also generates controlled dV/dt ramp rates. The monolithic die includes all oscillator, control and protection circuitry. The part can accept operating input voltages as high as 48V, and contains an output switch rated at 700mA peak current. Current mode control offers excellent dynamic input supply rejection and short-circuit protection. The internal control circuitry is normally powered via the VCC pin, thereby minimizing power drawn directly from the VIN supply (see Applications Informa- tion). The fused-lead SO16 package and 100kHz switch- ing frequency allow for minimal PC board area requirements.

LINEAR TECHNOLOGY LT1616 handbook

This document introduces the LT1616 600mA, 1.4MHz step-down switching regulator, which uses an internal 0.6A power switch and is packaged in a tiny 6-lead SOT-23. The wide input range of 3.6V to 25V makes the LT1616 suitable for regulating a wide variety of power sources, from 4-cell batteries and 5V logic rails to unregulated wall transformers and lead-acid batteries. Its high operating frequency allows the use of tiny, low cost inductors and ceramic capacitors. With its internal compensation eliminating additional components, a complete 400mA step-down regulator fits onto 0.15 square inches of PC board area. The constant frequency current mode PWM architecture and stable operation with ceramic capacitors results in low, predictable output ripple. Current limiting provides protection against shorted outputs. The low current (<1µA) shutdown provides complete output disconnect, enabling easy power management in battery-powered systems.

LINEAR TECHNOLOGY LTC3035 Manual

The LTC3035 is a micropower, VLDO™ (very low drop-out) linear regulator which operates from input voltages as low as 1.7V. The device is capable of supplying 300mA of output current with a typical dropout voltage of only 45mV. To allow operation at low input voltages the LTC3035 includes a charge pump generator that provides the necessary bias voltage for the internal LDO circuitry. Output current comes directly from the input supply for high efficiency regulation. The charge pump bias generator requires only a 0.1µF flying capacitor and a 1µF bypass capacitor for operation. The low 0.4V internal reference voltage allows the LTC3035 to be programmed to much lower output voltages than commonly available in LDOs. The output voltage is programmed via two tiny SMD resistors. The LTC3035’s low quiescent current makes it an ideal choice for use in battery-powered systems. Other features include high output voltage.
