MICROCHIP MCP3204/3208 SPI serial interface 2.7V 4/8 channel 12 pin A/D converter Manual
MCP3204/3208 is a 12-bit successive approximation analog-to-digital (A/D) converter with on-chip sample and hold circuitry. MCP3204 can be programmed to provide 2 pseudo differential input pairs or 4 single-ended inputs. MCP3208 can be programmed to provide 4 differential input pairs or 8 single-ended inputs. Differential nonlinearity (DNL) specification is ±1 LSB, integral nonlinearity (INL) is ±1 LSB (MCP3204/3208-B) and ±2 LSB (MCP3204/3208-C). It uses a simple serial port compatible with SPI protocol to communicate with the device. The device's conversion rate can reach 100 ksps. MCP3204/3208 devices have a wide voltage operating range of 2.7V to 5.5V. Its low current design consumes only 500 nA and 320 µA of typical standby current and working current.
