The Sony XDCAM HD422 product family includes the PDW-700 camcorder, PDW-HD1500 recorder, and PDW-U1 disc drive. These products use MPEG-2 4:2:2P@HL compression technology to provide high-quality images and multi-format recording capability. The PDW-700 camcorder features three 2/3-inch CCDs and delivers high-resolution HD images. The PDW-HD1500 recorder has a dual-head design and multiple audio/video and IT interfaces. The PDW-U1 is a compact, portable, cost-effective solution that can be used as an external drive or as a material provider for non-linear editing systems.
