Trypticase Soy Agar (TSA) Ready-to-use Plates are used for the cultivation and counting of general bacteria. They are composed of tryptone, phytone, sodium chloride and agar. Tryptone and phytone provide nitrogen sources, vitamins, amino acids and carbon sources; sodium chloride maintains a balanced osmotic pressure; agar is a solidifying agent.
