HuH-7 human hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) cells are derived from a man's liver cancer liver. The cells are highly sensitive to the replication of hepatitis B virus and are an ideal choice for in vitro screening of antiviral drugs. It is also widely used in lipid metabolism research. It is reported that HuH-7 cells can be cultured in serum-free medium and secrete a lot of AFP.
