HAL (Hardware Abstraction Layer) is a common technique used in embedded system design. It provides a layer of abstraction between the hardware and the upper-level software, shielding the details of the hardware, so that the upper-level software can be developed independently of the hardware, thereby improving the portability and maintainability of the software.
