ALLEGRO MICROSYSTEMS 6276 Manual

Update: 28 September, 2023

The A6276 is a 16-bit serial-input constant-current latched LED driver specifically designed for LED display applications. It includes a 16-bit CMOS shift register, accompanying data latches, and 16 npn constant-current sink drivers. The device can be directly interfaced with microprocessor-based systems using the CMOS shift register and latches. The LED drive current is determined by the user's selection of a single resistor. Cascade connections are possible using the CMOS serial data output for applications requiring additional drive lines. All output drivers can be disabled for inter-digit blanking by setting the ENABLE input high. Similar 8-bit devices, the A6275EA and A6275ELW, are also available. The A6276 is offered in three package styles: through-hole DIP, surface-mount SOIC, and TSSOP with exposed thermal pad. The DIP package can continuously sink the maximum rated current through all outputs over the operating temperature range. The three packages are electrically identical and share a common terminal number assignment.
