The CP 18BU28 supplementary capacitor is an AC capacitor designed for single correction of power factor of transformers and magnetic ballasts inside discharge lamps (such as fluorescent lamps, halogen and ceramic metal halide lamps, high-pressure mercury lamps and sodium lamps) with mains frequency 50 or 60Hz. This ensures an improved power factor of the light source, with cosμ exceeding 0.85.
